“Allantika tou Daskalou” (The Teacher’s Delicatessen) is a family business based in the picturesque mountain village of Agros, in the Pitsilia region of Limassol district. The business continues the tradition started by great-grandfather Nikola Avgousti, following the authentic recipes and methods of charcuterie production that have been passed down from generation to generation.
Production takes place in modern facilities that comply with European hygiene and food safety standards, such as HACCP and ISO 22000. The products are made with red wine, natural herbs, and spices, without the addition of preservatives, and are matured in a traditional smokehouse using wood.
The product range includes lountza (smoked pork fillet), sausages, ham, zalatina (brawn), and pastourmas (cured meat), all of which are recognized as Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) products of Pitsilia.
The delicatessen is open to visitors, offering them the opportunity to learn about the production process, taste the products, and participate in organized tastings.
